Desktop App
Desktop Documentation
Everything Desktop-specific. For shared topics like suppliers, pricing, and logo handling see the core concept guides below.
Core concepts
Same model across every LogoMagic product — read these once.
Installation
- Download the Setup.exe from your purchase email or the LogoMagic releases page.
- Windows 10 or later, 64-bit. Approximate install size: 300 MB including bundled supplier catalogs.
- First-run Windows SmartScreen warning: click 'More info' → 'Run anyway'. We're working on code-signing.
- Installer registers LogoMagic.exe + starts automatically on finish. Adds a Start Menu + desktop shortcut.
License Activation
- On first launch, you'll see the unlock screen. Paste your LM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX key.
- The app validates with LogoMagic servers once. After that, it caches for 7 days offline. You can work without internet.
- License key is stored locally at %APPDATA%\LogoMagic\license.json (Windows).
- To use on a different machine: 'License → Deactivate' in the app menu (coming soon) or contact support to transfer.
Supplier Credentials (optional)
- LogoMagic Desktop ships with preloaded catalogs for SanMar, PCNA, S&S Activewear, Gemline, and ETS Express. No supplier account needed.
- For real-time pricing + inventory, add your own supplier API credentials in Settings → Supplier Credentials.
- Credentials are stored locally in your operating system's secure keychain. They never leave your machine.
- Also supports any PromoStandards-compliant supplier via 'Custom Suppliers'.
Workspace Shortcuts
- Arrow keys: nudge the active logo by 5px (Shift+arrow = 25px).
- [ / ] : shrink/grow the active logo by 1%.
- R : reset the active logo's offset + rotation.
- Ctrl+V : paste a clipboard image as a logo (Windows screenshots, Slack copies, etc.).
- Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z : undo/redo workspace edits.
Connecting to Shopify
- Open the Shopify Staging screen → enter your shop domain → click Connect.
- A browser window opens with the LogoMagic OAuth flow. Approve the install inside your Shopify admin.
- Publishing counts against that store's LogoMagic Shopify plan quota (Free: 5 products lifetime, Starter: 25/mo, etc.).
- Each Shopify store is independent. You can connect multiple stores and LogoMagic remembers them.
Connecting to WooCommerce
- Each WooCommerce site needs: (1) the LogoMagic plugin installed + licensed, (2) a WordPress Application Password.
- In WP admin: Users → Your Profile → Application Passwords. Name it 'LogoMagic Desktop' → click 'Add New' → copy the password.
- In the desktop: WooCommerce Staging → 'Paste keys' → enter site URL + WP username + application password.
- Publishing goes through the plugin's /wp-json/logomagic/v1/publish-product endpoint. License-gated per-site.
Auto-Update
- LogoMagic Desktop checks for updates on every launch via GitHub Releases.
- When an update is available, a notification appears in the app header. Click to download + install on next restart.
- Manual check: Help menu → Check for Updates.
- Updates never reset your license key or saved connections.
